Penske Townsville has been awarded 2025 Dealer of the Year, receiving the prestigious platinum award as the top-performing dealership across Penske Australia & New Zealand’s truck dealer network.
Wideland Group and Wakefield Trucks were close contenders, each earning gold awards. Penske Brisbane (Wacol), Penske Lytton, Penske Perth, Penske Mackay, and Pengelly Trucks dealerships were recognised for their efforts and awarded silver.
The highly competitive awards program comprised a rigorous process that ranked each dealer against a comprehensive set of key business metrics across truck sales, parts sales, service, and technical training for the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit brands.
George Konstantinou, head of dealer capability – on-highway at Penske Australia & New Zealand, led the dealer team undertaking the award process.
“In the last year, we have implemented a brand-new, robust award program,” said George.
“The Penske Townsville dealership delivered outstanding results, increasing its truck sales significantly within its prime market area for 2025.
“The team also demonstrated solid performance in parts sales, heavily invested in technical training of the team, and met all OEM partner training requirements.
“Achieving an outstanding net promoter score, the Penske Townsville dealership obtained strong endorsement from customers.”
Awarded at Penske Australia & New Zealand’s recent Truck Sales Conference, Barry Castley, dealership manager of Penske Townsville, accepted the award on behalf of his team.
“This is such awesome recognition for our entire Townsville team,” said Barry.
“Throughout last year, our dealership worked incredibly hard to strengthen our relationships with customers, enhance our sales process, parts and service support, and technical training capability.
“I am extremely proud of our team being recognised for all our efforts.”
